Bio

 

Méandres aims to create a unique repertoire by combining electronics and acoustics, producing a distinctive sound. Formed by saxophonist/composer Fabien Genais and cellist/composer Emmanuel Cremer, the group is the fruit of a close artistic collaboration, with a particular emphasis from the outset on original compositions. What sets the group apart is the synergy between its members, each bringing their own originality and personal experience to the creative process. Although initially rooted in jazz, Méandres has evolved in new directions, staying close to urban culture by drawing inspiration from hip-hop, rock and world sounds.
